The program provides emergency and follow-up care to women, men and children who have been recently sexually assaulted or are the victims and survivors of intimate partner abuse.

All services are confidential.

Care may include:

• Physical assessment and examination
• Documentation of injuries
• Collection of forensic evidence
• Testing and treatment for sexually transmitted infections, including HIV prophylaxis
• Testing for pregnancy and emergency contraception.
• Supportive crisis counseling
• Follow-up services including re-documentation of injuries, medical care and emotional support

Clients have the right to choose treatment options and, at all times, the right to consent or decline any option.

Who provides the care for victims of sexual assault?

A team of medical professionals including specially trained registered nurses, Nurse Practitioners and emergency room physicians work together to respond to individuals who have been recently sexually assaulted or victims of domestic violence.
