Diagnostic Imaging examinations provide key diagnostic information about a patient's medical condition to assist in their treatment plan. Physicians and nurse practitioners send orders for the examination to the Diagnostic Imaging department.
Patients will receive a call with an appointment time and instructions for CT and X-ray exams.
Ultrasound appointments will be sent in the mail along with preparation instructions.
Your examination will be performed by technologists and interpreted and reported by off-site radiologists. The radiologists are specially trained to interpret images. They will send an official report to the ordering physician/ nurse practitioner or clinic within a week. Results of Diagnostic Imaging exams will be communicated to the patients by the clinic or ordering physician if treatment or follow up is required.
