Dryden's MacKenna Mackie and Vermilion Bay's Gabby Gagnon accepted into Northern Ontario School of Medicine.

The DRHC is happy to share some great future physician news! Local residents MacKenna Mackie (left) and Gabby Gagnon (right) have both been accepted into the Northern Ontario School of Medicine and start this fall. Both are excited to begin their journey into medicine.

Mackie is currently working as an OR Nurse at DRHC and notes, "Being accepted into NOSM is something I have been working towards since before high school. I cannot wait to return to Dryden as a physician and continue to work with my DRHC family!"

Gagnon has some pretty strong medical influences in her life as well as her father is well regarded Vermilion Bay physician Dr. Yvon Gagnon. "I am so excited and honored to have been accepted into NOSM! It is a dream come true and I cannot wait to be able to service my community as a future physician. It is so nice that two of us from Dryden/VBay got in this year!"

We're thrilled for both of them and wish them all the best as they start this exciting and important chapter of their lives. #futuredocs
