Casual Cook
The Dryden Regional Health Centre is seeking to fill the following position with a highly motivated, team-orientated professional in our Patient Food Services department:
Casual Cook
Job Duties:
- Food preparation for breakfasts, lunches and dinners for patients, visitors, staff, catering functions and meals on wheels
- Follows a menu prepared by the Director and/or Dietician
- Cleaning of equipment, surfaces, trays, etc.
- Serves hot food in the cafeteria as well as running the point of sale system
- Orders, receives and checks grocery orders
Pre-Requisites:
- Grade 12 highschool diploma
- Food Handling safety course is preferred
- Previous experience is an asset
- Ability to perform the essential duties of the job
- Excellent communication and written skills
- Conscientious with attention to detail
- Proficient computer skills
- Ability to organize a daily workload by priorities
- Ability to adhere to the DRHC's policies and procedures
- Demonstrates behaviors consistent with the Dryden Regional Health Centre's Code of Conduct and Standards of Behavior
- Demonstrates DRHC Core Values; Accountability, Integrity, Humility, Compassion and Respect
- Proof of full Covid-19 vaccination status to be presented prior to hire
Salary: $21.12/hr.
Shifts: Days & Weekends - 4, 8 and 12 hr. shifts
This is a union position - Salary and benefits will be as per the Collective Agreement
